We have updated the site with the end of 2009!  Also check out the Misc. page, Talia's Photos page, and Family and Friends Photo page, they all have updates. Talia began kindergarten August 24th. She was only able to go a couple of weeks before she had to leave for her surgery. The surgery was September 8th and she came out like a champ. The doctors all believed that one surgery would do it. However, do to several factors (a growth spurt, not a restrictive enough cast, etc) the rods had moved and were in a position to cause harm. So, she went in for a 2nd surgery on November 5th. The doctor put in longer rods and put Talia in a more restrictive cast. She had a check-up late November and all looked good. She will get the cast off on January 28th. Max is an amazing little boy. Everything with Talia has not fazed him much. His new passion is "video game" -- our new Wii game console we got for Christmas. Max is still getting smarter all the time.  He is learning how to sound out words just like Talia.  He will be very prepared for school when he gets there. In adoption news, there is no news.  We had to put the adoption on hold with everything else going on with Talia. As always, we will keep everyone updated. Rey and I have just begun a search for a home her in the metroplex. This is a big decision for us. I am a country girl and he is a city boy, trying to find a place we both feel comfortable in is challenging at best. Please keep us in your prayers. Love from the Big B Gamily
